Borussia Mönchengladbach’s greatest achievements are these: the club became German champion in 1969/70 and 1970/71, becoming the first side ever to defend a Bundesliga title. Then came three championships in a row — 1974/75, 1975/76 and 1976/77. Gladbach also won the UEFA Cup twice, in 1975 and 1979, and the DFB Cup three times, in 1960, 1973 and 1995.
