Rainer Bonhof – Only Not Successful as Coach: Bonhof was Germany’s first naturalized international. In 1969, while still holding Dutch citizenship, he made his first junior appearance for Germany. He then adopted German citizenship.\n\nFrom 1970 to 1978 he played for Borussia Mönchengladbach, winning four titles, the DFB Cup and the UEFA Cup.
